I am a human being, born and raised for most of the time in Portugal.
I am now happily married and living in the severely cold Michigan. If I could I would shoot traditional materials; I enjoy strong contrasts and how film smells, except polaroids, those are a little harsh. I love to build up anxiety before developing film, I like to wait and forget what I shot until the film gets processed. Old cameras make me drool, oh and I also enjoy when I get home tired, my hands smell like darkroom and my ears are full of Radio Lab or something as stimulating.
I am a picture taker more than a picture maker... so I guess this website will be a good challenge.

I'm a graduate student at the University of Oregon in the Conflict & Dispute Resolution program. Prior to that I attended OSU and received a degree in Political Science. I'm not a professional photographer, nor do I desire to be. I take photos that make me happy, which, more often then not, are colorful ones. I prefer to use film, but it's expensive these days. I'm a fan of cross processing and putting my exposed film in the dishwasher to see what happens. Expired film fills me with joy. I'm imprecise.
I love the color green.
I am a day-walker.
I am a loner that's just starting to come to terms with it.
I'm learning to be the nerd I always wanted to be: 3 computers; 3 OSs
INTJ.
I often wonder, "Why can't we all just get along?"
And I love good (emphasis on good) beer, music, and coffee.
... and British TV shows. And public radio. And gadgets.
